Okay everyone, I have been having some problems lately mostly headaches and felling disoriented but before they started after I was having pain in my right hand and fingers. I am also having hair loss, alot of hair loss. I have hypothyriod disease and I have had it for going on 4 years now they have not gotten my hormone levels to stay the same for a long period of time, they will be normal for a few months and then they go up or down and it has been happening since I was diagonised with this disease. So I went to the doctor's and they ran blood test to do a cbc and test my thyriod levels, the first test my white blood cell count(overall) was low and my thyriod was normal. Then I had a repeat test a week later white blood cells are still low and my thyriod was now high. I am still having the headaches (2months) and disoriented feeling with lack of focus and hair loss. It is not stress because I honestly do not feel stressed and it is not from having my son in January because I felt fine until a month later. I am just worried that I am going to get passed from doctor to doctor and no one will take me seriously or they will just blame my thyriod and I think this time it is more then that. Any ideas or thoughts?

  • You might want to go to a neurologist and/or get some kind of imaging done of your brain (CT or MRI).

  • I am actually waiting on a referral letter from my family pratice doctor to go get a head CT and see a specialist about my thyriod, but of course I am going to be concerned about what is going on until I get to see the doctor, I just feel sometimes it is a long drawn out process to get some help. I have not read about cushings disease but I will research it a bit to see if it sounds like what I have, I was thinking lupus maybe but I am not a doctor so I don't know.
