why would a dentist put me on flagyl?

i went to the dentist and i had a infection in my gum so my dentist give me a perscribtion to get rid of it to do a tooth extraction.my wife read that it was for vaginal infections or sexual infections now it is causing problems in our marriage so can anyone explain this cause the dentist did not explain nothing all that was done was a xray i told them not to do nothing cause they expected a large amount of money that day.i did not have that on me they pretty much booted me out the door.so i need answers if anyone could help

  • Tell your wife to do some more reading. Flagyl is used for loads of things. It just kills more types of bacteria then your regular antibiotic... Have a great night out! :)
