White colored nail on my left hand thumb.

I noticed that my thumb nail on my left hand has become white. Could this be a fungal infection due to the fact that the thumb was yellow for many years and well as my toe nails(all 10 toe nails). My remaining 9 nails of both hands are normal. I noticed the white color on August 23, 2009. I have had fungal toes and the left hand thumb nail fungus since 1957,
