Hi my name is Bethany Cassar from Malta. Last month i gave birth to a 33 weeks son but unfortunately he died with polycystic kidney disease.I had sever oligohydramnios and during ultrasounds bladder of the baby was always seen very small and when our son was born he had pulmonary respiratory problems aswell.Doctors from the SCBU where our son was during his 19hrs of life are thinking that he had potter syndrome. Doctors cheked my boyfriend and my kidneys if there is any cysts but nothing was found. As far as we know no one from our family members suffered from polycystic kidney disease or other kidney problems. As looking through internet i found lots of cases with polycystic kidneys but almost all of the cases had big tummy due to enlarged kidneys as our son his tummy was normal and about potter syndrome babies with this syndrome born with typical physical appearance and our son's appearance was perfectly normal,we found as well that with this type of problem there is a big canse that all of my pregnancies have the same problem and so we could not have children. Could you please give us your openion we are very worried. And if there is something we can do could you please tell us what to do as we are ready to do everything to have our other children always if possible healthy.
