Hello Everyone,

I am at wits end and sometimes feel like life is not worth all this pain.

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgias after 6 years of suffering. I had the cranial nerve decompression surgery this past June and felt relieved and pain free until 4 weeks ago...i'ts back again!!!!

I thought it was a bad molar that was causing the pain, so I had it removed... wrong!!

My Neurosurgeon tells me it's common that a nerve has not accomodated itself after surgery and prescribed Lyrica to help with the nerve pain.

I just feel that it will never end, this is causing such a depression because I cannot focus on nothing but this aweful pain!

Well, I just wanted to share my story and see if anyone else has gone through this and has any advise.

Thank You

  • Dental work and taxes....our two worst nightmares...I had my teeth adjusted and re-adjusted in the bite and then fine tuned. My chiropractor had a treatment that included a pressure point massage around the joint area...I'm not as bad as you, however.

When mine gets bad I can't think straight and I can't do much of anything. I am usually a very hyper and upbeat person. I can also handle a lot of pain but, this really gets me down. I have two children and I feel guilty when I get hit with this because I can barely do homework with them if at all.

I have had TN for about 5 years now. I am on teregtrol(generic). They just increased my dosage to 400mg 3X day. I am having a hard time working and remembering things. I starting having more intense sensitivity and pain in my teeth. I can't eat anything like steak, hard items, potato chips. That kills my teeth the next day. I also have bad headaches all over. I am on Wellbutrin for my depression and Neurton for my back and leg nerve pain. I take those at night. Do you have jaw pain like me? I was thinking that I might also have TMJ due to my bite being off.??? I am getting like I don't even want to do anything, feeling really down. :( Sick of going to all of these doctors: Neuro., dentists. who just prescribe me more meds. I am going to try a night guard for my teeth to see if that will help me. I am so glad I can talk to someone about this. Nobody understands what this is or how we feel!! Thanks for letting me vent. ;). Hope we can all be feeling better soon.
