Hi all.

I am 37 and for 15 years I have suffered from severe fatigue since I had mononucleosis

However in the last few months I have started to experience weird sensations in my hands and feet.. and legs.

It feels like my body is going to sleep. I get tingling, I get stabbing sometimes, It is like I can sometimes feel all the nerves to my fingertips. I get some ghosting around my hands and feet and a lot of fizzing.

The fizzing is really annoying. It is like a bubbling in my right calf muscle constantly.

I have read a lot about this. I decided to treat myself with B12 methycobalamin, which I have been taking for a month. It hasnt helped yet.

My blood work is pretty normal apart from an MCV of 103. This increase (from 100..which was my norm before) was about the same time my paresthesias... nerve issuse.. appeared.

In my head the idea that my blood cells are enlarged would be a good reason than they are unable to fit through my smaller blood vessels to my nerves.... does that make sense? Is that how it works?

Anyway. I am taking the b12, b complex and other supplements, like magnesium, omega 3... all to try and feed my nerves

Does anyone have any ideas?
Can large blood cells cause paresthesias?

Thanks M

  • Hi I am also going through this, mostly when I am laid up which is a lot of the time, it feels like there is soda running through my blood under the skin, it's all over but worse in my legs. I am already diognosed with Endometriosis, fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, IBS, sciatica, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, iron deficiency, acid reflux, carpel tunnel syndrome, reynauds and asthma. Yes I know my parent obviously wernt a good match to procreate lol, but any ideas if this already matches what I already have or could this be something else.
