Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

I'm new here and would like some advice. I've been dx'd with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome about 5 years ago. I also have 2 bulging discs in my cervical spine as well as scoliosis of the cervical spine. I have compression a blood vessel which creates a lot of swelling in my right arm. Sometime my hand is white, especially when I get cold. When I get really cold...to the point of shivering...my fingers go numb on both hands. Is this due to the TOS or the bulging discs? Also, a couple of years ago, my 20-year-old neice was dx'd with TOS, but she had a blood clot. I'm wondering why my pain dr. is not at all concerned about this with me. She has never even brought it up! I was doing some research for my sister, as she believes she may have TOS, and some of the sites cautioned about blood clots. Since I have a slow return of blood back up the arm, wouldn't this be of concern? My last visit to the pain clinic was this past Friday and I saw the Nurse Practitioner. I asked her about it and she gave me some kind of vague answer and said I don't need to worry about it.

Thoughts anyone? Would really appreciate it a lot. This concerns me since I know how dangerous a blood clot can be.
