Okay so i allegedly have herpes but these are the signs and i'm wondering if they sounds valids to everyone reading. My boyfriend (who i cheated on once when i was drunka nd was insanely jealous and posessive afterwards, understandably) said he got herpes from me. The issues i have are that A: i never saw his alleged test results B: I have never seen any sign even remotely on myself C: the only signs on him i have seen have been single red dots that could be easily popped and would go away within a week. I get cold sores and have since i was very young and nothing on either me or him even remotely looked like the ridiculously painful bumps i get around my lips when i have an outbreak. I am wondering what the chances are that i actually have this, and it wasn't just something he made up to keep me from straying again for fear of infecting someone else. I got tested after everyone i slept with before him (2 people, one time each) and i know herpes is hard to diagnose without a sign of it, but i;ve been put through ***l over this and i was wondering if it was rightfully so. He has lied to me before, especially when drunk, and is very convincing at his best to the point that i think that he even he starts believing. He's also become angry over a back pimple that he claims was a 'herpe". Opinions anyone?

  • he sounds a bit controlling. If you can get yourself tested please do as it will give you a whole heap of ammunition in this sex war if you prove to be uninfected.Herpes is usually produces pain and/or tingling and you may even get systemic symptoms before a break out.One spot on a back does not herpes make.

  • Yes, he could absolutely be telling the truth. He may have contracted herpes 1 from you, since you do acknowledge that you have herpes1, he could get it if you have oral sex. Now, you could also have herpes 2. Half of the people get it from someone who doesn't know that they have it and who has no symptoms. I suggest that you get two blood tests and that your boyfriend also get two separate blood tests: one for herpes 1 and one for herpes 2. He will then know if he has your herpes 1 on him or if it is herpes 2. He is not being mean and you need to get a blood test. It does sound like herpes, especially if a doctor told him, too...but they don't need to guess; there are blood tests.
