I have been sick for six years and after lots of tests I have finially been diagnosed with syringomyelia. I am waiting to be called to see a specialist but in the meantime all i've been told is 'not to strain' is there someone who can help, I can't walk much anymore and I'm on painkillers which are not very satisfactory, I can't get out much anymore, and I' m in pain a lot of the time, I sometimes get very depressed and wish it would all end, Please help me if you have any information on this disease sincerely noreen glennon

  • I dont know anything about this disease but I have all they symptoms of it. I cant sit, or walk due to the pain in my legs. It started quickly and the cant find out what it is yet. Did your pain start in your knees? I have it in my shoulders, hips and neck too.Did they find it in blood tests or a Mri?

Did your pain start in your knees? I have it in my shoulders, hips and neck too.Did they find it in blood tests or a Mri?my pain started in my leg seven years ago i was tested for most things. I had thyroid deficiency high colesterol and finially they gave me an MRI, I had blood tests for everything, novenas to St Jude, the doctor was beginning to think I was a hypo, I was just getting worse with no specific symptoms, it was something different every time. I'm afraid an MRI is the only way to go. I hope you find the cause, I have to wait until sept. 07 to see a specialist, I hope your medical system is better than ours Noreen
