Hi guys, I am new on this forum and I have some questions. I have had a swollen lymph node on my lower right neck on the back side for quite some time (as in years; I am 20 now and probably since at least 15-16 if not before), and I noticed just recently that I also have a few that are in my groin area. I don't know how long exactly I have had them but the only reason I found them was because of a sports accident a few weeks ago that led to a bruise right there. The ones both sides of my groin are very much pulsating, if you will, and it causes pain in both of my legs sometimes. I've had the same pain for quite some time so I think I've had them a while, too, but I really can't say for certain.
Anyways, the way this story relates is that today I have had nausea all day and when I went to urgent care for that, I found out I had swollen lymph nodes also in my throat area and my arms, which pretty much means every possible place, no?
The ONLY suggestion the doctor gave me, and he said it was because he had to do worst-case scenario, was being HIV+.
I am gay and had been sexually active for a while until about September when I just stopped by my own choice (and a note about the long-term swollen lymph nodes, I've only been sexually active since around 19.5, a little over a year). I spoke to the last person that I had intercourse with (which was unprotected, stupid I know) and he told me that he's been tested several times since that and he has nothing.
I'm going to a health clinic tomorrow to get tested, but the way he presented it as no big deal when he found them and then giving me that info really scared me, and I'm basically just looking for what could be any other possibilities that are less severe.
Thanks very much in advance.
