It's my son who is having health problems. We have seen 37 doctors in the last 2 years and also went to the Mayo clinic. Nobody could tell us what is wrong. He used to lift a lot of weights and took a lot of protein shakes, also had a stressfull job. He must have had mononucleosis at some time that was never diagnosed, they can only see in the bloodwork that he had the virus at some point in time. Became extremely fatigued, pressure in the head, pain and a dry feeling around the eyes. Had brain scans with no result. Sinus problems, after surgery saw he had had a lot of pholyps, didn't solve the problems. Has a constant feeling like he has a hangover, nausea and stomach problems. Black circles around the eyes. They noticed he had signs of dehydration though he drinks enormous amounts of water. No alcohol or cafeine. Dokters don't know what causes the dehydration. Is sensitive to sigarette smoke and other odors. Can't tolerate medications. Had a stressfull job when this all started, went for his masters to europe but had to quit during his final exams because of all the symptoms. Has not been able to work or go to school for the last 2 years. He is 27 years old and we don't know who to consult anymore. If somebody has any ideas, Please share it with us. Thanks:(

  • I really, really suggest you find a good acupuncturist who has trained in China or under someone who trained there and deals heavily in Chinese medicine. Good acupuncturists are hard to find but when found they are priceless. As is a very good naturopath. These practitioners can assess the body by looking at the tongue, eyes and blood pulse monitoring. I have personally experienced their techniques on my self and on a quadriplegic i care for who had been given a death sentance by doctors because of two 'incurable' conditions that an acupuncturist cleared up within a couple of weeks. All the best,Agape, searchingsam

  • Hi,Has your son seen an allergist? There are a lot of foods etc. that can reaaly wreck havoc.Don't give up.How are his intestine functioning? If there is a form of malabsorbsion, that would cause the dehydration, lack of nourishment etc.Sometimes, docs look for complicated things when it is simple.Has he tried drinking Gatorade?Too much water isn't good.I went to specialists for a couple of years and brother, what a waste of time. Finally my regular doctor solved the problem. Is the blood sugar okay?Let me know how you do.
