Stomach pain

I have been dealing with a pain in the upper right quadrant right under the ribs for a very long time. It is not always there but can become very sharp. The drs. said it presents like gallbladder disease but they can't find any stones. I did have a nuclear test done 5 years ago and had the same pain when they injected me with a medicine to make it contract. I think my body doesn't let it contract right but a synthetic med. made it contract correctly. I have been throwing up, nauseous, am constipated-had the diarreah a few days. I have had many problems with my female organs and digestive track. My whole family has problems. My dad and his sister both died of esphogieal cancer and my grandpa had ulcers and gallbladder disease. My daughter, 7 years old now has ulcers. I think there is a heredity link here and that the doctors are missing something. I have two first cousins that have hemochromotosis--they told us to be tested, could it be that? I have had seisures in the past, muscle weakness and my adreanal glands are not functioning properly as I am on steroids to keep my bp up from 90/50. I feel like I am slowly dying...I have tried doing the healthy things, eat organically, self-hypnosis, meditation, praying, exercise, and supplements but I get worse instead of better. I am so fed up and just want some answers so my little girl doesn't have to suffer like me. Oh, I also have a problem with being cold and my feet so cold that they hurt and I have to warm them in hot water. I have tingling in feet and hands...I also have an eye that wanders and see double sometimes. I hope someone can give me an idea if there is anything they think it could be so when I go back to the doctor I can ask. Maybe I'm going crazy?

  • You need to find the cause of your adrenal problems, since it can be responsible for most of the symptoms you mention. Have you been to an endocronoligist? When the adrenals do not function correctly it can cause problems with the thyroid (and vice versa). This would explain the extreme cold feeling in your feet. The problem could be autoimmune like addisons, but I think its more likely that there is something going on with your pituitary gland because of the eye problems. Many people have eye problems since the pituitary and the optic chiasma are very close to one another. If you have swelling or a tumour (these are 95% benign) it could put pressure on the optic chiasma causing your eye problems. You definitly need to see a specialist. Hope this helps... Kiera

Hi there I have had the same stomach pain for the last couple of years... I had my appendix and gallbladder removed to see if that is what was causing the pain... That didnt take the pain away.... Its not always there but seems to "come and go" And when it comes it comes FULL force... Sometimes i can take an antacid and it helps but it never seems to take it completly away... Also, you mentioned something about hemochromotosis... My Fiance' was diagnosed with that about a yea ago and they said he had too much iron in his system... They took 4 pints of blood from him and that was "supposed" to make him feel so much beter... But it didnt... He is suffering from body aches all over his body... Back, neck knees and just an all over achy feeling... and he has been living with that for about 2 years.... Let me know if you find out any info about this And if you find out what could be causing the upper stomach pain Please let me know... as I have been dealing with this issue and I am at my wits end !!
