I am almost 46 and for the past 3 years I have had stomach trouble bad, I started out with bad stomach pain and if I ate too much of anything wrong I would lay in agony for hours until I would throw up, they diagnosed me with gastoparesis and told me to eat small meals and mostly liquids. I still had pain, and I lost a lot of weight. I would spend night after night in pain, I finally figured out a lot of it was from acid blocker pills, but I still had trouble eating and pain, I feel full and miserable and have pain, I have had pain so bad that I would shake and my husband and I lost so much sleep at one time we were able to go insane. After going to University of Kentucky and being told they couldn't do anything for me after a year of suffering I went to University of Louisville, which they did a more complex testing for gastoparesis and they told me I don't have it and if I do it is mild case, they now think I have visceral hypersensitivity and or delayed accomodation. They have me taking sublingual Levsin and want me to take a small dose of elavil for pain. I havn't tried the elavil yet. My stomach hurts when I take medicines and I just dread to make my stomach start hurting worser. There are days when I don't feel too bad and can eat pretty good and just out of the blue it starts hurting bad again and I have to struggle, my quality of life has deteriorated greatly, I stay weak and I don't feel like doing much. But I make myself get up and go. Even drinking Ensure causes me to have severe stomach pain if I drink some of it too quickly. I have tried about every thing you can think of and nothing has stopped this stomach pain. My stomach stays so sore I can't stand my pants up around my waist. I know that if I could take something for acid My stomach would feel better, but all the pills give me bad stomach pain. I envy people that can sit down and eat anything and not have pain. I have drunk Mylanta, Pepto, and even tried goats milk. I did find that when my stomach is burning really bad from the acid I can drink Aloe Cure and it cools it down a lot. I keep hoping that something is gonna happen that will make this all go away. If anyone knows of anything please let me know.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
