I am 33 yrs old. I have had 3 children. The youngest is 5 months old. I was born with Spina bifida. I count my self very lucky, I can walk, was able to have children and have pretty much a normal life. I am now having problems. Maybe I didn't take enough care of my body, I don't know. But I'm scared and my stomach doesn't seam to be getting better. My doctor thinks it has to do with my birth defect. So, she is sending me to a specialist. I have had a lot of sugries on my lag and one on my lower back when I was 9yrs old. The last time I can remember about my condition ever being a concern I was under 16yrs old. If anyone can give me some good advice and help me understand what this birth defect is again. I really would like to understand. I have lived so long with out the worry and with the disregard for my problem and trying to be as normal as possible that I never took the time to learn how I should have took care of my self and never set limits. I think I am paying for that now!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
