I am only just about 18, I have had a cough for almost six months and just recently started coughing up blood on occasion, and it isn't "streaked" I'm talking about red and chunky. I went into the doctors a month before and they referred me to a pulmonologist but the only way I was going to be able to make an appointment was to leave a message and have them contact me when they were ready. Well I never recieved a message back and then things began to get worse rapidly.
I went back to my doctor (who I love and trust tons) and she was able to make an appointment for me.
Yesterday I under went a broncospy (the only time I thought I might cry durring the rocedure was when they shot my nose full of numbing gel. other than that I was okay, of course I did cough through out the entire procedure) and found out that I may have some sort of fungus in my lungs.
I'm not sure if I should be worried, or if this is the kind of thing I should be careful about passing around etc
I feel stupid posting this because I dont know anything about it but if anyone has any ideas that would be REALLY helpful. Thanks.
