  • Hi there! I am sorry to hear about what your baby is going through! It is definitely scary! By the sounds of things, I think you should get a 2nd opinion from another doctor, a gastroenterologist for pediatrics. Your baby having diarrhea for this long is a problem and can lead to dehydration and other metabolic problems. Being unable to get the needed nutrition, the baby can be a failure to thrive. Please have your baby checked again! Keep us updated.

ASAP. Secondly, do not...and I repeat...DO NOT give your son tap water of any sort. Only utilize bottled water (sold by the gallons in the store. ) Until you can have allergy testing done...DO NOT give him anything with peanuts or peanut oil. You say he does not want to eat? What do you feed him? Sometimes baby's have an intuitive feeling that they associate eating with the reason the "pain" is there...my guess this is going to be severe allergy related. Is he a happy baby? Does he smile or giggle? There is a condition called "failure to thrive". He must be seen by a specialist for gastric disorders...not a pediatrician. Call your local Childrens Hospital of the largest city near you and get him into their Emergency Room. That is the best way to get him in without a "referral". If he has that kind of diarhhea he is most probably becoming dehydrated. ALSO...look for root causes around your home. Is your home older? Is there dust/molds in the basement that may be getting into the ventilation? Is there black mold on the walls in the lower level? Is there ANY black mold on the walls. Is your home located near any manufacturing companies? Chemical plants? (all companies that have ISO 900 signs are using chemicals.) Does he eat store bought fruits or vegetables that are not being washed well? (pesticides) I have a strong feeling his problems are allergy or enviornmental. Does he wear disposable diapers? My son was highly allergic to Latex and he could not wear disposable diapers. I had to use cloth. (no fun..but that was what was needed.) I just bought the cloth diapers and layed them in the velcro cloth wraps and slapped em on. Very different and neat and better than the "old pins and cloth" method. Again, start off with eliminating ANYTHING with tap water...get him to outpatient...and they will help you from there. (MUST BE A childrens hospital, ok?) Take care and keep us posted. My best to you and your son.
