Hello- I am two and a half years post thoracotomy for Left Lower Lobe Lung Ca. After the first 11 months of waiting for the pain to improve I had three rizotomy sessions for a total of 10 nerves ablated yet I continue to have sever pain. An MRI with contrast resulted in a "diagnosis" of nerve entrapment in the scar tissue.
I live on narcotics and use lots of ice packs and heat but my ADL are greatly diminished as well as my ability to take a deep breath.
Is there anything or any one out there that could make this any better?
Is there a better diagnostic test that could pin point the nerve responsible and thus lead to a more effective treatment?
Is this as good as it will get?
Thank you for any help.
