Severe burning in right thigh

I had a total left hip replacement with spinal on 11/23. Shortly after coming home, I noticed a numbness, tingling burnining sensation on my right thigh...and by coincidence, there was a little lump of swelling. Rushed back to the hosp. to rule out blood clot. Have had several ultrasounds, and complete xrays of leg/back. My hip surgeon thinks it vein related. I went to my vein surgeon ( who removed a large vein in my right leg in 2006). They seem to think it's nerve related, possibly to do with the anesthia and back sedation. They gave me a surface numbing cream ( which doesn't do anything) and 800mg of Ibuprofen 3x per day. The burning has gotten considerable worse since I stopped the oxy from the surgery. I am not sleeping at night. Especially in bed. I can't find a position that doesn't aggrevate it. So I get an hour here and there in the reclyner. Could it be Meralgia Paresthetica ??? Does anyone know what I should do next ?? I'm at wits end with this no sleeping thing. Seriously...it's really getting me down. Merry Christmas.... Kathie
