in october 2006 my daughter (now 15 yrs old) had 5 seizures. we recorded her last one. they laster about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. she would fall to the floor, her body rigid, pull to the left. when on the floor she would try to turn since her head would pull to the left. her feet and hands would curve and her whole body would shake and her head, feet and hands would bang on the floor. she would feel tired and would sleet after the seizures occured. the doctor diagnosed her with a form of epilepsy after her 5th seizure & she was put on tegretol and a while ago frisium was added. she still has eye twitches and her head pulls. this occurs often. she always knows when it is going to happen and can continue functioning after it is over. since then the new doctor is not convince that she is having seizures due to epilepsy. she is suggesting "migraneous". she is suggesting to start taking her off the tegretol in 2 to 4 months. we are all worried. her MRI came back clean and all her EEGs were normal as well. what could this be??? any help????

  • I have a friend in Pennsylvania. She started with seizures and developed twitches as well, oddly enough. she has been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She has been sick for a long time and had seen several doctors and noone could give her an answer. A friend of hers that lives by her was diagnosed first, then she was after she brought it up to her doctor They noticed they were having similar experiences. Hope this helps your daughter
