A little over a month a go I was taken to the hospital by my husband for sever headache that would not go away. They did a catscan and took a bunch of blood they ended up having to stick this horrible metal qtip up my nose(very painful). The doctor said it was either one of two things leukemia or mono luck for me I have mono. I followed up with my doctor and by then had a severe soar throat. I had pain where my liver and spleen are and actually have quite a bit of swelling that started about two weeks ago and my doctor has put me on a bunch of vitamins (vitamin C, Omega 3 fish oil, Acetyl L-Carnitine) and I also have ulcerative colitis for which it started up again around the same time so I am on the sulfasalazin. Then last Wednesday I was not feeling well at all, I had had seizures in the past and that morning I was having the aura and I was extremly ill vomiting and just sleeping. I am a stay at home mom and last week was spring break so all of my kids were off staying with family. My husband got home around 1 or 2 from work. He said when he got home I had a grandmal seizure. He was getting me up after to take me to the doctor and I had another one on the toilet. We finally got to hte doctor where I had another one then I remember waking up in the ambulance and then at the hospital. I'm now on dilantin 3 times a day. i am still having a couple break thru seizures. I am still vomiting. I also have pain in my back, its around the middle it hurts to breathe and get up from sitting or laying down. I really have alot of pain in the area of my spleen and liver and a tremendous amount of swelling. It seems that I have put on quite a bit of weight also in the past couple of weeks. I go back to my doctor tomorrow, but I am scared that it is something else. I have gone about 5 years without having a seizure and the reason I had seizures before was medicine related. I know these were like no other seizure that I have ever had. I was just wondering if any body else has experienced anything like this and if I should be scared. Please help.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
