ritalin and heart problems

I have never done this sharing stuff but here are the facts

1-17-2003 working outdoors cold day full jumpsuit on working on a car bent over to long stood up and bang i had an anuersym in my head

Hospital 15 days
sent home
one year later they call to schedule appt
what for - follow up to surgery ?

no lost paper work and on the 1st anniversary they realized I never saw them after surgery

strongly suggested I use Ritalin

I said no - after 3 months of appts and tests I said fine go ahead give it to me

Seven months later BOOM I have an aortic dissection
Emergency surgery fake valve installed aorta rebuilt
Let out of hospital.

Now 3 years later I have a serious eye movement problem related to the heart surgery. They think it has to do with the fact my body was cooled with ice for surgery and then I was warmed up to quickly afterwards.

After I was given Ritalin the makers were told by the FDA to give Ritalin the "black box warning" stating sudden death is possible.

From that moment forward they are covered because it is listed as a possible side effect. Over the years people have died from Ritalin and nothing can happen to the makers. Future claims are no longer because sudden death is listed on the box.

I say what about me. I had the serious side effect and lived and I have issues to this day. The irony is that for me to collect from the makers I have to prove that their stimulant (ritalin) caused my heart explosion. The FDA says it happens you must list it as a Black Box Warning and they say ok we will put it on the box'

Anyways thats my story
