I am posting this in the hope that it might help people who are going through the pain I went through.

For the last three and half years I have been taking Lansoprazole 30mg daily for acid relief . During this time I have been suffering from rectal haemorrhage. rectal burning sensation and itching. It felt like I have been living all this time carrying pepper in my rectum. The itching/burning and sensitivity was so bad even toilet paper seemed like sanding paper . I went to my doctor and he sent me to two specialists and did colonoscopy with negative results . I thought something was terribly wrong with me that couldn’t be cured and was living with pain. When I went for my recent renewal of my prescription for Lansoprazol my Dr said he will change the prescription and instead prescribed for me Tecta pantoparazole magnesium. Within days I noticed my pain was going away. After a week I was able to use toilet paper without pain. After two weeks I was back to normal. I got this suspicion that the medication I was taking was the culprit to my suffering and googled Lansoparazole. I was shocked at what I found. 51% of men in my age group have rectal bleeding as a side effect of Lansoparazole. I don’t know why my Dr didn’t put 2 & 2 together and take me off this medication while I was suffering for over 3 years instead of sending me to specialists. But I thank him for changing my prescription and giving me back my life.

Here Is what I found
