Since September I have been experiancing severe aches & pains, along with intermitten left abdominal pain. I have had numerous CT Scans, an MRI, colonoscopy, t.e.e., ultrasounds & numerous blood tests. The CT Scans have shown (few weeks apart) a swollen liver, kidney & bowel with no explanation. I also have abnormally swollen glands, but CT Scan showed no apparent reason. I am not sure if all or any of these symptoms are linked or related. They continue to worsen. I wake up in the middle of the night with swollen hands & feet. The doctors are getting frustrated with me it seems, meanwhile I am unable to function normally. I have no fever, no loss of appetite, changes in urination or bowel movements (all questions I am asked repetedly). Does anyone have any advice???

  • I have been tested many times for lymes. My first test was positive, but every test since has been negative. They tell me I do not have Lymes. Is it possible to have Lymes, yet continue to get negative results? Thank you, I will look into the information.

  • Have they checked your heart out by doing an EKG and echo? Some heart conditions can lead to swelling...And some (right sided failure) can lead to blood getting backed up to the liver- causing it to become congested. There's probably other things they need to look into as well. This is just a thought.Sorry you are going through this. Please know that you are not the only undiagnosed person out there. Stay strong. We are rooting for a diagnosis!

  • If your first test was positive you DEFINITELY have Lyme! False negatives are the rule, not the exception. Why didn't he do anything for you? Join Lymenet. You likely have several coinfections brewing, too. Lyme is caused by a type of bacteria similar to syphilis. You never really get rid of it - it just switches forms and sometimes lies dormant until you are physically or mentally stressed out. Please find an LLMD. Your average doctor is afraid to diagnose and treat it because sometimes doctors lose their licenses for disputing the CDC's new guidelines. Join Lymenet. i tried joining lymenet but it rejects every user name i have tried to register with. i had taken anti-biotics for a short while when i got the positive result about two years ago.. it didnt seem to help while i was taking them, but not long after taking them my symptoms went away on their own. then, it all came back (6 months ago). the past few days i have been having a very tough time walking & today am unable to stand on my legs for more than a few short minutes. they begin to tremble & give out. my whole body hurts so badly. i can barely even hold my head up. could all these things be symptoms of lyme?

  • Hi, have you been checked for the Human Parvovirus? I woke up two weeks ago with excruciating joint pain, and tested positive for lymes, I also tested positive for the Parvovirus which can mimic Lymes, and Lupus, and even RA.I hope you feel better soon.
