hi!!! my brother was diagnosed last month of severe aplastic anemia associated with hepatitis...
Is there really such thing that might affect your liver with this kind of disease.???
He is working in kuwait as sales representative in furniture section for almost 4 years. And last sept 30, he sudden bleed in gums, petechiae appears and generalized jaundice. Prior to this 3 days before ramadan ends, he went to rtw where he bought twice the american soldiers' fatigue (their pants). according to him he just wash it with soap and water. After the symptoms appear, he went to the government hospital and a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy was done and was diagnose of severe aplastic anemia. Of course, we his family were stunned by their diagnosis and decided to had a second opinion back home.
Same procedure was done and diagnosis formulated same as in kuwait. but the doctors here especially the liver specialists intrigued with what my brother condition is.. because right now, we still don' t know the root of of his disease and why there's hepatitis associated with aplastic anemia.? and even our family, has still a big question mark in our back of our mind. All lab tests for hepatitis was all negative and even test for different kinds of virus that might affect the liver are also negative.
There's one more thing, are you familiar with "sandfly"? and "kala azar disease" or "black fever"? because last year my brother was bitten by this deadly fly.. in regards with this his doctor take this consideration.. until now we dont have yet the kit for elisa to test if my brother is infected by leishmaniasis which the sandfly carries.
Why if you have aplastic anemia and my brother undergone with series of blood transfusions (BT)... it is still fluctuating... i mean if today he has BT IS BLOOD COUNT increases day after and when they check it again after 2 days of BT it will landslide??????? why is it like that?? please answer my questions... i will really appreciate it.
Do you this fluctuation of blood count would possibly cause by leishmania??
pls help me to answer this
