Hi i have been losing weight and 4 of my lymph nodes have been swollen for about 2 months or so. I went to my doctor and he first did a blood test that came back normal. He then set me up for a PET Scan at my local hospital so to make a long story short i went and got the pet scan done and after i was done they gave me a copy of it on a cd for me to take home. I got home and of course i was curious so i put the cd into my computer to view the scan and i saw many areas where there was dark black spots so then i transfered those over into the color section (not sure what its called) and when i did all the dark spots that i did were bright yellow hot spots. The reason i am worried and posting this is because my doctor called me and told me that the pet scan came back negative and theres nothing wrong with me but yet i found several different hot spots when i looked at the scan myself. My doctor said when he called me that the lymph node areas looked normal but those were not the spots where i saw the hot spots so i still cant ease my mind to believe the doctor when he said everything was ok. i am thinking about taking my cd to someone else and having them look at the whole thing and not just the sections that they ordered for the pet scan. I am very concerned about this and just wondering what everyone here thinks because i looked up all about pet scans and they said hot spots mean cancer and they are not just in one area they are in several areas (about 6 black spots in a row along my collar bone to my shoulder, and i also found a few hot spots in my stomach and one in the back of my head above the top of my neck) please let me know what you all think i would really appreciate it. Thanks, Josh.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
