Hello. I was wondering if any of you out there could help. Over the last year I have had upper right abdominal pain right under my ribcage and it has gone from there to my right flank side and under the area of both breasts to where I can't stand to even wear a bra. I have a feeling of fullness most of the time even though I don't eat much, with symptoms like GERD. I feel bloated and nauseated most of the time. I have gained a little weight but under 8 lbs. The pain is constant and sometimes stabbing. It wakes me up at night and nothing I have done has helped. The doctors thought it was my gall bladder at first... I had a CT scan, ultrasound, hydascan, xrays, UGI, endoscopy and colonoscopy and they have found nothing. It was pretty bad for a while then had let up for the past 3 months. Now it's coming back.
Also about 8 months after having those symptoms I started feeling lightheaded and having periods where I would pass out for a few seconds. I would sometimes wake up with my heart racing and sweating. I thought it was possible anxiety. I had episodes a few times where I would just start to feel weird and out of sorts, weak, dizzy, hot and sweaty, nauseated. I have a high rate of heart disease in my family and since I am 39 they decided to do some tests because I have been having chest pain also. I had a nuclear stress test and echocardiogram and they found nothing. My resting heart rate was in the 130's. I wore a monitor for a month and saw a cardiologist that perscribed Metropolol Tart for my rapid heart rate because after yet another bunch of tests they told me that I have POTS( Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Although for the most part my heart rate is in the 90-110 range now I still have the chest pain. It is not severe, but just enough to know it's there.
If there is anyone out there who may know a doctor, test, diet, any information that you may have that may help or if you have any symptoms like this I would love to hear from you. Thanks so much for your time.

  • If they said you had POTS, did you fail a tilt table test? Also, when they did the endoscopy did they check you for Celiac's disease? My daughter has POTS and we both have Celiac's Disease and believe it or not sometimes the symptoms are sometimes similar.Hello. I was wondering if any of you out there could help.
