I won't go into long detail of the actual tonsillectomy. Basically everyone knows the drill - I had my tonsillectomy about 12 days ago and my throat is feeling a little better - still achy and dry but all and all I am recovering from the actual surgery. Day 3 and 4 were the absolute worst... Worst headache, earache, and vomiting:confused: Anyways, here is my NEW problem.... about two days ago before bed I was yawning and I felt an extremely sharp pain in the back of my throat where my tonsils were. The next morning I woke up and looked in the back of my throat and there was a HOLE in the skin where my tonsils were!!! It was a small hole but within the last two days it has gotten bigger. It stings when I swallow food or drinks now=( Is this common? Is it something I should be concerned about? If anything it is extremely aggravating to think I was recovering so smooth and this slows me down - as if the recovery is not slow enough. Please share your stories is this has happened to you...Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
