now that i am starting to feel sick- swelling hand, numbness in arms, unsteady walk at age 52- all the weird things that has happened in our family for over 30 years are now in question. when my daughter was born 30 yrs ago(she is now deceased) she had a webbed neck. they tested her for turners syndrome on 3 different occasions with neg. results. at age 3 they discoverd she only had 1 uretha tube. her hair did not grow for her first 5 yr. when she gave birth to her first child, she still did not have public hair. as an adult she had unexplained seizures. no one ever had a diagnosis for her condition. i have a son, now 36 who has been suffering with migranes since age 12. he had a son born with water on the brain, floating eyes and webbed toes. his second son has two large red masses, one near his belly button, the other on his leg. they are horrible looking. doctors said they should go away by age 6. he is now 7. another son ( now deceased) was born with one undecended testicle which doctors shown no concern. he had a son, now 8 with the same problem. my daughter had 5 chidren before her death and the 9 yr old is having symptoms. severe headaches for years, but now his little brown birthmark that he was born with on his face has grown much larger. last month he grew tiny little watery looking blisters on his face- not pimples!. he has to go next week to see a neurololigist. Why? his younger 3 yr old brother was born with such high mytopia in his right eye that he is almost blind. he has been wearing glasses since 2 months of age. his right eye also doops down very noticably. some grandchidren have no weird symptons, but the rest of us do. to think that an inherited disease might have been with us for years and none of us knew,is frightening, even for what the future may hold. does anyone out there know what kind of malady might be infecting our family and what we should do next? Please help!

  • Hi there, I am so sorry to hear of your awful problems. I am afraid I have no idea what could be causing them though. Do you have any history of exposure to radiation or other nasties such as Mercury etc in the family history that could have altered the genes in some way? Just a stab in the dark I am afraid. I really hope you can find someone (probably through the internet!) who may have an idea what is causing all these strange problems.cheesenonion
