Pleural effusion and ??????

I got sick at Christmas, 2012. Horrible, non-producing cough. Few days later I get into the doc. No pneumonia, but pleural effusion. Schedule for a thoracentesis. NOT FUN!!! Primary doc sets up appointments with pulmonologist, cardiologist, and rheumatologist upstate. Lung doc says it's my heart. My resting rate is 130-140. Sends me to the ER. They get the rate down to 120-ish. Next appt is cardiologist. Nothing wrong with your heart. It's your lungs. Next appt with lung doc. Fluid now around your heart. Congestive heart failure. In between I see rheumatologist who finds nothing wrong but a slight elevated arthritis factor. Mind you, these appts are spread out, once a month to each. Cardiologist says no way is it CHF. It is 5+ months later and still no definitive diagnosis. Lung doc will drain and test for malignancies in a few days. Uh......I certainly hope it's not a malignancy after all this time.I also have a lot of pain/pressure throughout my abdomen if gasping or even sneezing. I have learned a new way to sneeze to protect myself and stop screaming. So disgusted, so tired and worn out. Oh yeah - lost 65 lbs since Christmas. Sick of it all and am at the end of my rope.
