Back on Sept 12/06 I was sitting on the couch when I started to have pain in the left side of my back 'flank pain" it continued to get worse and started to hurt on both sides of my back, approx 4 hours later I was doubled over on the floor in severe pain, I could not walk but unfortunately felt the need to pee approx 6 times with only a little bit of urine coming out each time, finally at 8:00 qam the next morning with pain now only on my left side I went to the hospital where they gave me a cat scan which revealed nothing no gallstones or anything I was hooked up to a intervenous and was given morphine for the pain, I was admitted to the hospital as the pain would not go away the next morning I was given another cat scan which revaled that I had only half a pancrease I was missing the left side adn blood work showed that I had a high infection some where, my Dr did not believe that the pancrase had anything to do with my pain as I was hurting on the left side and this is the side that the pancrase is missing, they sent me home about 4 days later with pain pills, since then i have had a colooscopy which came out clear and hav made several trips to the hospital in the worse pain imaginable to be given
Morphine and sent home, I have had a MRI that showed up cleasr, I was at he Dr,s today to refil my pain medication and the urine analysis showed my white blood count is very high at 500, which he has prescibed Cipro, I have been take for the pain 40 mgs of slow release oxycontin at 7:00 am and 7:pm ,450 mgs of Gavopenten, 20 mgs of Amotryplin at night and 5 mgs of Oxycode for break through pain, the pain is there 24 hrs a day to touch the back is not sore it feels like it is "inside me " like a boring pain, I am tired alot, have no appetite, and very scared as what this could be as this has been going on for 4 months the pain starts in 1 spot in my flank area on the left side and really does not move, it just goes in me, I do not have any numbness nor pain in the leg, I am going for a ultrasound on my kidney and pancrease soon, if anyone out there has pain like mine in the left side of the falnk area and seems to radiate in you please please let me know. Thank-you
