lately for the past id have to say 3-4 months, ive had white, dry flaky skin at the base part of my penis and sometimes it gets very irritated and itchy at a point where i have to touch it or something otherwise ill go nuts. i usually use nivea skin firming lotion for u know wut and vitamin e skin lotion for mostiruzing care. lately ive used baby oil and that seemed fine, but this **** has still come back...ive researched other sites and it just said that when u get this, u should stop for a while and i have, and it still comes back...the questions i have are here
wut do i have for one?
wut is the best remedy for getting rid of the flaky, white, dry skin at the base of my penis?
would it be ne allergic reactions to possibly the fabrics of my boxers or the lotions that i use, or when i wash my penis with soap and water which should not be a problem.
please help...its an emergency

  • Hey- stay calmed- people can get infections anywhere- you don't have to feel embarrassed. Yes- if you do a little shaving, that's good enough to get an infection, specially is the blade was not brand new. Things can grow on your razor. So many people in my family, siblings and cousins have contracted freaky and truly ugly skin problems and it had nothing to do with doing anything 'bad'. It happens to all of us- ok?There are lots of infections out there that regular doctors don't know about. So don't flip.Have it checked up- if the tests come out inconclusive, or the doctor tries to undermine your concerns go ahead and try a doctor of oriental medicine, licensed acupuncturist/herbalist. They have herbs for all kind of sexual and not sexual related skin problems- which would also clean up any bugs in your blood. If you don't have as much 'luck' taking this issue to your doctor- go ahead and look into Oil of Oregano caplets from the Health Store. Oil of Oregano kills all kind of bugs, virus, fungus, mold, bacteria, etc. It might even help with the acne- because many times acne is related to an skin infection or parasites on the skin. You don't need a prescription, just follow direction.Chinese medicine doctors know about acne and skin stuff- they don't dismiss you- they listen. You can get a good herbal prescription- something that not just hides the problem. You deserve a healthy happy life :)I wish you the best.Fruity.

  • start using hypoallegenic products. this very well may be from the lotions. aveeno is a good brand of soaps and lotions etc.. they are dematologist recomended.. buy unscented for now. stop shaving and give your skin some time to heal. you can go to any pharmacy and ask what to use. i suggest hydrocortisone cream which you can buy at any drug/grocery store. it cannot hurt while you wait for your appointment. its summer and the weather is hot chafing is a good possibility for your diagnosis.

  • you quite possibly do not have an infection. look at the facts. you yourself said it cleared up when you stopped using the lotion and masterbating. that would be a good indication that the cause is either from the parfume/dyes in the lotion (an allergic reaction) or chafing (irritated raw skin) TRY hydrocortisone cream and use unscented soaps and lotions. stop shaving give yourself some time to heal. you can also try anti-fungal cream if you suspect it is jock itch. you can call ANY PHARMACY and ask what to use. they will not know who you are and have some experience in the field.

  • ok, the itching has really gone downwhenever i used lotions, those were the nights when it was unbearableits getting better and the skin is healing very quickly. i got the hydrocortisone cream and rubbed it on and it left big white flaky patches near the base of my penis, does that mean the skin is hardening up again and reparing itself, or is that a bad thing

  • You say now you have white flaky patches on the base of your penis? Or was it residue left from the hydrocordisone cream? The hydrocortisone cream will help with the itching and help the skin to heal so you may be describing new layers of skin forming under the old raw skin - DONT PEEL AT IT! Im glad to hear things are working out for you. Let me know if everything heals up ok.

  • If this skin condition keeps returning after you stop using the hydrocortisone cream, I would do some research on your own on the internet. There is a skin condition called Lichen Sclerosis (sus) and other ones similar to it which cause the same symptoms as yours. The treatment is small amounts of hydrocortisone cream of a special type. Also there are support groups for this condition.

    8 Surprising Facts About Cholesterol

Did you know that one in six US adults has high cholesterol?

  • Hi, I've had sensitive skin my entire life, my parents had to use special detergent till I was in middle school. When I got older and started shaving my legs, etc. I noticed I was getting horrible rashes wherever I shaved and/or put on lotion. My skin would be really red and irritated, it would burn and itch, and of course the personal areas were the worse. Over the years I've found that I can only use unscented, dyed, or perfumed lotions and soaps. Some people are just really really sensitive to those chemicals. Just start trying new things, I know that for a guy "somethings" need to be taken care of, so buy new products like vasaline intensive care etc. lotions and soaps without any additives, I also try to get soaps with added moisturizers and only shave with the soap, no fancy shave creams that burn. Hope you find something that works for you, good luck. Sarah

  • yeast infection or "jock itch" is a very real possibility. You can get these from not drying off enough after showering or if you sweat a lot. You can get stuff to take care of this pretty much anywhere. You won't need a prescription.Try that, if it doesn't help then go to a doctor.

  • I want to do a little update on this because I have the same issue, forgive me and my poor writeing skills and spelling.Recently around feb I started to notice this issue itchy dry flakey skin around the base of my penis and scrotum, I didn't think anything of it spent half my life just scraching it anyway but when I notice it really starting to flake I stopped useing my Irish spring soap and bought new soap ( oatmeal-walnut ) soap seemed to stop the itch also useing a anti itch cream helped due to me wakeing up in middle of sleep scraching my self it was so bad... I came to figure out it was not Scabies because it was not spreading, also was not crabs or hair lice. I have had diffrent partners over this time laps and none of witch have had this issue or anything close to it.. So narrowing it down more could still be fungle or something along that sort like jockage or something, I have no insurance to go to doctor let alone enuf money left over from paying my bills to take a bill for $150 for seeing a doctor... So let's see -I don't use creams when playing with my self..I normaly don't use loation down thereI just recently ran out of my oatmeal soapand have neen useing scented moist soap.I have found that womans discharge while haveing sex causes alot of my irration so I usuly try and have sex with my boxers on, some womans worse then others, my past partner I was with for 3 years I would have to wash right after we were done or sometimes in the middle...Well I'm just provideing some information to others, you shouldn't be that worried, if you scrach your selfthen scrach your face and it dose notspread then relax a little lol... Joke don't scrach it then your face please hahah... Hope this helped a little-Zulus
