Pectus Carinatum

My16 year old son has Pectus Carinatum (pigeon chested). I have been to see two ortopeadic surgeons and one of them told me that if he exercised his pectorals his condition would improve. The other surgeon told me that exercise would aggravate the condition. Please, have you got any suggestions?
