I have suffered with narcolepsy and cataplexy for the past 25 years and thanks to medication and knowledge and lifestyle changes am able to live a fairly normal life.My question is is there any relationship between what I think are panic attacks. For the past 5 years I have had these attacks when I am confronted with an emergency situation.eg my dog and another were having a vicious fight I picked them both up and dunked them into the sea it worked but left me panting for breath and in a panic as I felt I was smothering,I have had these symptoms on several occaisions the last time it happened I was unable to protect myself when attacked by a thug.My panic was not caused by the attack it was caused by the fear of not being able to breath.I am a fairly healthy 62 year old have a blue collar job requiring a high degree of agility and fitness my medication is 2x100mg modafinil per day and 2x25mg anafranil per day.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
