Orange discoloration on my hands

I have rusty orange discoloration on the top of my finger and a couple spots on my palms. I have no idea where that came from, it just started today and I'm really hoping it's nothing. At first I thought it was something I could wash off until I noticed it was coming from inside my skin. Any Ideas?

Are you pretty thin without much body fat? When my daughter was little, her fingers toes and nose were all orange because she didn't have enough body fat to absorb the betacarotene in orange veggies. If this isn't it, I'm not sure. HTH!

  • Research chromogenic bacteria. Certain types of chromogenic bacteria that can infect the skin can cause red/orange staining - one is the same type that creates pink mold in bathrooms.
