I live in China. My significant other was just diagnosed with Cervicitis today and I'm weary of the treatment being offered. 1 hour after arriving at the hospital and doing a test of her bloody discharge and an ultrasound, the doctors gave us a $700 bill for treatment which included the following: 80 minutes for 4 days of some kind of machine in her vagina that heats her cervix, the best translation I could make is deep penetration localized heat therapy (this one thing cost about $500), 20 minutes of hot water cleaning her vagina and some drugs. The drugs include some weird Chinese medicine like human placenta, as well as 1 antibiotic called nifuratel (0.4 g 2 times a day for 14 days). They did not ask to see her again for a follow up to see if the treatment worked or anything. Also, they said it was caused by a bacterial infection, but t
I don’t think they could possibly know specifically what bacteria it is so fast. I already know we both need to be tested for STDs and treated if there are any. Any ideas about the treatment? I just want to make sure the problem gets solved, instead of us just buying some costly snake oil.
