Hi i would like to know what you think about my symptoms?
While at work i suddenly got a sharp pain as if a headache was coming on, then went away but slowly my left side of head and face were going numb. It lasted like that for a while then felt a hot sensation on my cheeck as if i had gotten slapped. I still half of my head a little wierd. Does anybody have any clue to what it might be?could it have been somthing i ate or is it a mild stroke?

  • It may be something like a cluster headache, which originates from the nerves rather than from the tissues. If the numbness persists, definitely get it checked out.

  • Sounds like a nerve problem. there are several nerves that feed the side of the face and the sharp pain with secondary numbness sounds like neuropathic pain. Have you had chickenpox? The same virus causes shingles and can cause similar (maybe) symptoms. A bad tooth can irritate the nerve resulting in these symptoms. Trigeminal neuralgia maybe a possible cause. Look it up for comparison. Good luck!
