Hi guys i am at my wits end,i have over the last 12 months or so developed a condition that as yet has not been diagnosed ,it started with pins and needles in my right foot, the doctor referred me to the hospital to see neurologist, but as with all things in the NHS you wait months, for an appointment,by the time i saw him it was affecting both legs badly, and sitting made it worse, my toes feel like i have glass between the toes, calves numb and burning, my buttocks getting number by the day and is swollen and sore,i am numb all the way up to waist and very hypersensitive all the up to my waist, and to a much lesser upper body also,MRI scan came back no nerve root compression ,so an nerve conduction test ordered again long wait, again came back no problems found, the neuro insists its not ,now its 24/7,there's no respite, except when i sleep ,which was hard ,i started to drink late at night because it was the only thing that helps i know that's bad, more so as i haven't drank for 40 years ,but i am desperate, for sleep, just sitting writing this has my feet /toes going mad,the doc wont prescribe pain relief till he is sure whats wrong,i asked for a B12 test he agreed, and said he wanted a hemoglobin test as well as i was bruising caused through the blood thinners i was on ,i had a corteroid artery plaque removed 2010,when the test came back he said your ok ,i asked about the B12 test,,he said it was not done because your hemoglobin was ok ,so your B12 had to be ok too ,know i know this is rubbish,so i made appointment with another doc and asked for B12 ok ,rang up later in the week ,they said hemoglobin ok ,i said no B12 test got the same reply i suspect they never sent it off,up to now the nearest diagnosis, through my own research i can get that i tick a lot of boxes is a condition called Iliopsoas syndrome,i have one leg half an inch shorter accident 1973 in plaster for 3 years, plate in plate taken out then bone graft, been total unfit since never got the muscle wastage back, sit and lye around far to much no exercise, sorry to say, though i did buy a bike and treadmill redress this ,but the neuro said no,so what you think, thanks ColinReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
