I have had ringing in my left ear that at times is maddening. Veritgo so bad that at times I walk like a drunk which then causes nausea to the point of vomiting. I have had these symptoms since May 11 and have been treated for meningitis, bronchitis, inner and outer ear infections and finally Meniere's disease which it turns out it is not. I also come close to blacking out when standing from a sitting position or and other position such as kneeling or bending over. I am scheduled for a MRI on 6/1 and I am afraid as to what it can be and if they will even know then. Any help would be appreciated.

  • When they do your MRI ask them to look at the frontal lobeask them to do a tilt table test...this will identify the orthostatic hypotension you are experiencing(BP drops upon standing)When BP drops, you feel like blacking out or fainting

  • Ok great. I don't even need them to do the tilt table test. When I stand from sitting or kneeling I feel like I am going to pass out. Black comes all around my vision as it shrinks. So what does that mean? Do you know what that might be?Thanks for you help.

  • Ever heard of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Your symptoms are classic. I was diagnosed 4 days ago. I keep posting to people but the moderators seem to "edit" my posts and only put up certain parts of my posts???Hope you find your answer. It took me a long time to find mine, which, looking around this forum, is not uncommon.

  • Are you a teacher, student or healthcare worker? Have you had any vaccines? Hep B series? Influenza? Can you trace back to a trauma(car accident) or illness(flu) or recieving a vaccine recently?Do some researchstart by entering symptoms into a symptom checkerit will take you to links with possibilities containing those symptomsMany have done this and many have found their answers.I know, I'm one of those people.
