i am 34 yrs old and have been sick for 14 months now. this started out as hypertension and severe headaches. had bloodwork done and doctor thought it might be a pheo tumor. i then started with nausea, constant diareaha and fatigue. abdominal pain the followed. had ct and showed spleen was enlarged to upper limits of normal, fatty liver and enlarged lymphnode in abdomen. then had pet ct because they were worried of lymphoma. then had more full body ct's and ultrasound of heart and abdomen. then had endoscopy and found elevated eiosiniphils. had liver biopsy and diagnosed me with nash in jan. 2007. pain has gotten worse, no appetite, losing weight, nausea and severe headaches. had enlarged lymphnode on side of neck needle biopsy(neg) and lymphnode on rh back of neck excisional biopsy(showed dense fibrosis) still no answers and have gone from 207lbs in jan to 179 lbs in july. have appt with doctor aug 14.
also have had infectous disease workup and have seen allergist with autoimmune test(all neg) anyone with insight would be greatly appreciated.

  • I cannot diagnose you, but only suggest exploring the possibility of looking at your illness in a more holistic way. Please find a good Oriental Medicine practitioner or naturopath to help you in addition to the Western diagnostics. Chinese medicine is very helpful as an adjunct to allopathic medicine and I have personally treated patients with similar symptoms you are experiencing. It is just a different way of looking at disease, and many people find real, lasting relief. I assume you have had all blood tests for the various Hepatitis strains out there? What medications are you currently taking and did you stop taking any medications during the past 18 months? Best wishesDOM

  • i have had all hep tests done(some twice). i take effexor, tricor, toporal, and nortryptilyne. i was on some other blood pressure meds but needed to adjust them. they have looked at all ways my meds could have been a part of this. they have had me cutback or discontinue to see if that changes anything but no luck. thank you for your help.
