Hello,
I am a 35 yr old male. I have been suffering from a "mystery illness" for the last 5 yrs.. It started with cold and flu like symptoms and a day or two later the fevers set in, 103 to 105. This happens every 4-7 weeks and comes with soar muscles and joints. I have a soar throat as I type this and rash on my chest and back. All symptoms last 4 to 8 days or until the antibiotics kick in (Cipro). The fatigue is terrible and has cost me dearly. I have all but given up on doctors and am trying to do my own research. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Come on over the the b12 forum, http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?p=130152#post130152, and tell us more. You will get pointed at reasonably complete list of symptoms which could give you a better idea of whether you match up. A trial of the right kinds and brands of b12 plus cofactors could tell you which if any of your symtoms could be related. Even if some are there could be others that are not but getting the ones out of the way that respond would clarify your situation. In any case, the specific vitamions could boost your immune system and give your body a better chance. Good luck.

  • something that cycles like that could be in the herpes family; since there are so many types, you may need a blood test. Perhaps a visit to an Infectuous disease doctor could shed some light on this...could be Epstein-Barr virus, shingles...
