Mysterious lump/bump below my left knee

I just noticed the lump/bump a few days ago but have been experiencing very mild pain when I lean on my left knee or sit a certain way for a while now. It looks like it is right on my Tibia, the bone below my knee, it's not soft or anything... more hard, feels like my bone when I press on it. Pressing also produces pain but, like I said, very mild.

I'm very curious(and a tad worried:() what it could be. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thank you to whomever replies.

  • I noticed a lump last week as described above and it does fit the Osgood Schlatter post above. I happened to have an op on friday of last week and had to wear one of those full length surgical stocking things. After the op i noticed the lump had dissipated. Its back now so i'm trying the stocking for a few days to see if it gets rid
