Hello. My mom recently went into the hospital and had an MRI, blood work corotid artery test etc. She was tested for heart attack, stroke, MS. Everything came back negative. She was and is experiencing facial and head numbness on the left side of her body and says that her left leg feels heavy. When she originally went into the hospital her symptoms were: severe headache, numbness on left side of face and head, dry mouth, dizziness, tingling sensation in left arm, weak in the knees(she couldn't walk), ringing in left ear, sensitivity to light etc. The doctors could only diagnose a bad UTI. This numbness is persistant on that same side, but doctor's can't find anything wrong. I also know she had an x-ray to see if she had a sinus infection which was negative. This is actually the 2nd time she has had an episode like this, but it was 2 years ago and then she had all the same symptoms as above with the exception of memory loss and her speech was affected, and the doctors couldn't diagnose anything then. She is so frustrated because she still feels drained of her energy and still has the numbness. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of what may be causing this?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
