Last year I attended a middle school which had terrible administration and bad students. I was under a lot of stress and started having problems with my stomach. It started with abdominal pain and headaches at school, but then it got much worse. I was late for about every day of school because I spent my time vomiting every day before school and the nurse wasn't too sympathetic. She even didn't let me in one day and physically prevented me from getting in because I didn't have a pass even though I had gone to her office vomiting many times before. I couldn't stand it anymore and refused to go to school one day. My parents then started taking me to therapy with a very understanding counselor. Meanwhile it was in the spring and I got an upper GI. The doctor pointed out that my small intestine was inflammed and I finally was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS.) Ever since, I have tried to make some lifestyle changes and went to a better and much smaller K-8 charter school. I have taken Prilosec and Loratidine ever since I was diagnosed and was originally on hyosciamine (Levsin) for digestive spasms but stopped taking it after figuring out that it sometimes induced more vomiting after talking to my doctor. The only problems I have now are anxiety and migraines with stress and some lactose intolerance, but I am able to just use Lactaid products.
