I was reading one of your responses to a blog about Kidney stones and you seem like maybe you can help me. You see my husband was diagnosed with kidney stones in december and had to have a procedure done with a laser to help pass them. Now he has them again but the doctors wont do anything to help. They are even making him feel like he is telling lies! They referred him to a pain rehab because they think it is muscular!! I am out of mind with frustration. The urologist didn't even give him a cat scan. I have been watching my husband in pure agony and we cannot get a second opinion because he is military! Please help me!

  • You need to talk to patient services and get some answers. He does have rights, even in the military.

  • my husband has been dealing with kidney stones for years and what a pain for him and for me .. rushing to the hospital in the middle of the night with babies in tow.. yes ther are other things that need to be checked.. my husband stones are caused by calcium...( the guy loves ice cream and milk ).. but, both are not good for him.. they doctors have put him on polycitra k which he mixes with water to help disovle and prevent the stones.. you may want to seek outside opinions ...stones are worst than labor..so they say..they can also cause severe infections and major surgery can be warranted in some cases.. the stones get too large to pass...i hope he can get the proper care... i think our military should be treated better than that..
