I have just completed an 800 hour course in therapeutic massage, and my hand issues began during externship. It is my left hand only...it is extremely stiff...can not close into fist...no visible swelling at all...I'm hoping it is merely over used and somewhat neglected. I am concerned as I just spent a very large sum of money on this education and would hate to be unable to use my hands NOW!!(or ever) What could cause pain in the palm of my hand when trying to make a closed fist, as well as decreased strength and R.O.M.? :(
