In 1979 I had a pulsating in the left side of my neck, then the worst pain of my life. The pain felt like someone had split my head open with an axe. I started vomiting and was taken to the ER, from there I was admitted. Spinal tap, no blood found. I was completely paraylized for 4 days. Sent to South fulton scanning clinic for brain scann. Nothing found. Drs. thought it was a ballooned artery. Nothing found. Since this I have had a mass in the left side of my neck where the pulsating begin. I recently had a angiogram that shows I have no left vetebral artery connecting to my basilar artery. Vascular Dr. says my circle of willis is incomplete. Nothing can be down. The Dr. wants to do a PET scan for he thinks this mass is my cervical gland. What should I do. The only symptons I have now. I wake up feeling like part of my brain is still asleep for about 2 hours. It is hard to function for those 2 hours of the day.
From time to time I have a spasm in that side of my neck. Judy
