Have had low blood platelets for about 4 yrs.
The range is from 80,000 -11900
The doctor says that my red and white cell counts are normal so we just do nothing but monitor my blood every 4months. I feel that I am in limbo.
He does not suggest a bone marrow test at this time
I take the following meds enapril for blood pressure 20 mg,hctz water pill 25mg lipitor 20mg busparione 10 and prozac 10mg. I have heard that some meds like hctz can cause low platelets.
What do you suggest I do. Should I get another opinion or should I just be satified that it is not more serious. Part of me just wonders what could be causing these readings.
