I am suffering from GERD, I have been taking medicines from past two years but without any recovery. In September-06 I did my second endoscopy which is showing Inlet Patch Disease; Candidail Esophagus; Hemorrhagic Gastritis type A; Nodules duodenum likely Brunner glands(Incidental).
Biopsy Report shows H. Pylori associated moderate chronic active gastritis.

Doctor prescribed me following medicines
Tab Fluconazole ( 200mg starting dose followed by 100mg/day for 1 week).
Tab Aciloc 150mg B/D. For 1 week.

Followed by
Amoxicilliny 500mg 2Cap twice a day for 2 weeks.
Clarithromycin 500mg 1Tab twice a day for 2 weeks.
Cap Omeprazole 40mg 1Cap twice a day for three months.
Diazepam 2mg1Tab once a day for three months.

I took the medicine as prescribed by the doctor & currently I am having Omeprazole & Diazepam.
Before this I had also tried Nexium(Esomeprozole 40 mg) for almost 1 year.
Unfortunately nothing helped me to get rid of severe stomach pain. Currently I am suffering with burning sensation in my stomach & my eyes are always red with continuous irritation. This is affecting my professional life badly.
I am really worried about my health & I don’t know what to do

  • How unfortunate you are having no improvement, but not surprising. They prescribed a strong antifungal, along with antibiotics, which makes your candida worse...at the very least you need a strong and good probiotic with acidopholus, bifidus bacterium, l. rhamnosis (sp?) and others. This will help your gut by bringing in healthy flora. A good health food store will have this, or try vitacost.comI urge you to find an acupuncturist in your area. They can really help with gastrointestinal illnesses. Go to www.acufinder.com and punch in your zip code to find one near you. ]Best of luck to you.
