I have had problems with my liver enzymes since june of 2009. I was adm itted to the hospital with liver enzymes of 875. I had to have a liver biapsy which i was told that my liver problem was due to some medication but they do not know which one.
I just recently had another attack on my liver due to some muscle relaxers and amitriptyline I was put one. My enzymes rose to 2000 nothing was done for me just some blood tests. My gastroenterologist, who denies he said it told me he did not think I had liver disease and that he did not know what it is but that it would eventually come to a head. I paid him to tell me this. I am not and never have been jaundiced my urine is not brown I have not been told that my bilirubin is not high. But I have been labled as having some form of hepatitis.
Are ther other tests that could be performed? My gastro also told me, which he diend saying also, that I would not have to have a liver transplant if this continues.
I asked him if this could be a duct problem since I had my gallbladder out already. He said that is very rare so I dont think so. Which he also denied saying.
I have been told I am a very complicated case since I have so many health conditions.
my history is as follows:
Adult Hydrocephalus with a vp shunt inserted 2006.
Benign Pituitary tumor
5 leverl cervical fusion
I have been taken off everything but my blood pressure and thyroid medicine and morphine for pain. At the moment I was taken off everything before tool but if I get any headaches or muscle problems I am not allowed to take anything except the morphine they have me on.
I was told I can't take Ibuprofen, tylenol, aspirin, anything that ends with APAP or codeine. They don't know why my liver is so sensitive. I have not had any other tests than the liver biopsy and blood tests.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IF ANYTHING I CAN DO OR WHO I CAN CONTACT TO GET MORE ANSWERS AND TO MAKE SURE IF I TRULY HAVE HEPATITIS OR NOT!!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in the rocky mountain region so if you could tell me where to get help from this area. Please email me: email@example.com
God Bless and thank you:):D
