My husband was diagnose with Leptospirosis last Tuesday and was hospitalized from Wednesday to Sunday. He was given penincillin but after 5 days of treatment the test still shows that he is positive with Leptospirosis. He was discharged and given doxycyclin.Could someone please advise on why the test is still positive and could this have any effect on him.Test on liver, kidneys and heart has proved to be in perfect conditions.........Please advise
